The cheat code to social media is basically allowing people to enjoy things the way they want to *side eyes Twitter aka X).
I bet you came here hoping for tips on how you can magically crush social media, right? leave a comment if that is the kind of post you were expecting! haha. Sorry.
Well today we are going to talk about letting people be, as long as they are not being harmful to anyone. I believe the problem starts with us not being acceptive of others, not being open to the opinions of others and us wanting to impose our beliefs onto others, forgetting to keep an open mind. The world is obviously humongous and social media has found a way to make it feel smaller, but it is not, the world is still very big and that is the stress or the bad side effect that comes with social media. We are honestly constantly hearing and reading people’s thoughts, unsolicited most of the time, which is damn right unhealthy lol. Thoughts were never meant to be this exposed, they were never meant to be this accessible, many are thoughts for a reason. That is the only problem with social media, we were never meant to get to know this many opinions!
I know sometimes it is very difficult to ignore bs mind my language but whenever you pay attention to bs on social media you are setting yourself up for possible negative emotions as a result: we do not really have any control over the internet, not as Individuals anyways. We have no control over what opinions people decide to share out there nor can we control how they respond to us and the opinions we put out there (the opinion may be in a inform of words, images, video etc.). This is not going to be a long blog post at all. I just wanted to come on here and remind us all that the reason why social media has become so bad is because of the mind we pay to it. Think about it, if we continuously ignored clout chasers, all the people who act ridiculous for social media. If we paid them no mind besides them not getting any traction at all, you would also have not messed up your chakras because of a stranger. Slowly reducing our engagement on what is negatively shared, we would experience less and less of hooliganism. Not to mention how it would reduce all the unnecessary stresses that come with social media.
Hence i say the cheat code to social media is just letting people be. Ignore what does not affect you (please do fight when you seen wrongfulness and unlawfulness). And you will live a long fun life on Social Media. However, some of us have to put ourselves out there right, for our businesses and many other reasons. It may need to be on twitter or on Instagram, it maybe need to be both or all social media platforms however the thought of opinion is needed to be shared. As an influencer or content creator, how do you make sure that you are constantly putting yourself out there as required, while not being “provocative”? How do you in turn deal with all this provocativeness on the internet? Let’s talk on the comments please.
and if you are a regular social media consumer, my advice would be, ignore ignore ignore! Consume only what will be positive to you.
PS. I made this dress myself, many years ago, probably 2020 🙂 and it just made me realise i miss making clothes (the for myself is silent).
